




The LSU Office of Risk Management is responsible for vehicle use administration for LSU A&M including:
Drivers of the following automobile types are subject to the Driver Authorization process: trucks, vans, buses and motorcycles. Drivers of slow moving vehicles only such golf carts or Gators are not subjected to the Driver Authorization process. However training is available for all LSU drivers.
Other LSU system campuses maintain their own internal vehicle use and driver authorization procedures.
While procedures may vary by campus, all LSU system entities must comply with the LSU Travel Regulations (PM-13).

All accidents, major and minor, shall be reported first to the local police department or appropriate law enforcement agency. Secondly, the online accident report form should be completed as soon as possible to notify Risk Management.
Proof of auto insurance is not required for LSU A&M owned vehicles per Louisiana statute. However, policy information is available upon request to our office.
