LSU Executive Education Introduces Workplace Effectiveness Series
LSU Executive Education will offer a six-part Workplace Effectiveness Series beginning on May 10, 2023, from 9-11 a.m. at LSU's Business Education Complex. The first seminar, "Creating and Fostering a Morale Building Organizational Culture," will be taught by Rucks Department of Management Distinguished Instructor Kerry Sauley.

For the past nine months, a team of four LSU Mechanical Engineering seniors has worked diligently on a project for LSVI students that would allow them to run freely without the assistance of a guide or teacher. LSU ME seniors Madeline Lemoine, Thomas Brinson, and Andreas Kafkallides, all from Baton Rouge, and Nils Jernsletten of Houston, worked with LSVI faculty and students to bring their vision of a running apparatus to life.

Innovative Food Truck Concept Wins 2023 J Terrell Brown Venture Challenge
Rollin’ Yöggler’s Turkey Durkeys won first place in the 2023 J Terrell Brown Venture Challenge for their quick-service food concept featuring fried turkey fingers and stuffing fries to be served from a fleet of vibrant food trucks. Their first-place finish came with a $20,000 award.
LSU Senior Earns Sixth Place in National Journalism Competition
LSU Manship School of Mass Communication broadcast journalism senior Aria Pons placed sixth in the Television Features News Competition of the 2022 — 2023 Hearst Journalism Awards Program. The competition received 77 entries from 47 schools. Pons’ win ties for the highest Manship School student’s placement in the competition since 2013.
LSU’s Social Research & Evaluation Center Named Center of Research Excellence by Louisiana Board of Regents
The LSU Social Research & Evaluation Center (SREC) in the LSU College of Human Sciences & Education has been named a Louisiana Board of Regents Center of Research Excellence. SREC is the second Center of Research Excellence at Louisiana State University A&M and the only center focused on evaluating and researching social issues affecting our communities.
