Research and Teaching
Yuwei Li (Ph.D., Penn State) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies. He is interested in the dynamics of personal relationships. Specifically, his work examines fluctuations in cognition, physiology, and verbal behaviors in a range of conversation contexts, such as conflict and support. Dr. Li has also received training in several methodological topics and is interested in advancing and disseminating quantitative methods for communication inquiry. His work has appeared in outlets such as the Journal of Communication, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, Journal of Language and Social Psychology, and Annals of the International Communication Association.
